Free

Free at Last! Praise God almighty, he's free at last!
The doctor released Dean from all of his restrictions and he can now go about his life as normal. He was seen crossing the street going to the gym with a huge grin on his face. Clean shaven and a bit gimpy, but overall, looking really good.

Mr Gimp does the Count Down

5 more days till Dean gets to ride in the car, go to the doctor for his follow up appointment, and hopefully be released back into a normal life following 6 weeks of recovery from hip replacement surgery! His therapist told him he could go down our stairs and take short walks around our courtyard, which in Dean's mind meant, walk two blocks to the Starbucks ( he's been going through withdrawals and note how empty it looks without him). We are ready to get out and about and be in community again!

New Year Suggestion #2

I have been thinking about how in the rhythm of life, there is a time to feast and a time to fast. Since over the holidays there is usually alot of feasting, I am thinking about the fasting.
Have you thought about fasting? Allowing yourself to be vulnerable and weak before the Lord? Voluntary weakness. Like Martha Stewart says, "it's a good thing." Thoughts?
