I am a fan. It's hard to confine my thoughts on tattoo to a comment on your blog. But i'll give it a shot. Tattoo is art. If you are willing to collaborate with the artist to express what it is you want to express, I say go for it.
I would suggest looking for an artist whose work and character you are pleased with. You wouldn't go to 7-11 to buy a painting, right? Be discerning, interview them. If you don't feel totally comfortable, go elsewhere.
If you do proceed, let your tattoos bring you joy, and glorify God.
Whatever you decide, if they're going between your legs you better pay them well. This lady must have been a goooooood tipper. ...what's that lump next to her elbow...

I'd just stick to the ass-area. Then you could always keep it covered (but head to France, and watch out!!!)
