A friend of many, Amy Bessire, died this past week. She was a delightful woman of God. Years ago, she put music to scripture and this song has been sung by believers ever since. The words are good news. Her life was good news. She will be missed, but her song sings on and on.
"The Steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.
His mercies never come to an end.
They are new every morning.
Great is thy faithfulness.
The Lord is my portion says my soul.
Therefore I will hope in Him.

and then there is verse 26: it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD

Tonight at the memorial service for Amy, John Cundiff played "The Steadfast Love of the Lord" on the french horn. It was heaven music. When Amy wrote the music for this, she said in her journal that she could hear heavenly french horns. Can't wait to be there!
